Please check out the Belzoni Banner this week for an announcement that Belzoni was chosen for two nature murals sponsored by Delta Wind Birds along with grants from the Mississippi Arts Commission and the Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area Partnership, Inc. The artists, Julia Reyes from Biloxi and Gavin Bird from Jackson will be at the 2nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event in Belzoni on December 4. Please stop by to meet the artists at the event and provide your input and suggestions for the murals that will be on the wall of the Jaketown Museum and on the west wall of the Belzoni Firehouse.
The event will start at 5:00pm at Centennial Green with the lighting taking place at 5:30pm.
